Minecraft Survival

BakoshApp runs a Minecraft Java server on your PC; you play your survival world while viewers send mobs, items, effects and chaos like TNT, meteors and cages.

BakoshApp sets up a Minecraft server on your PC, and you play your survival world on it while viewers send mobs, items, potion effects and chaos — TNT, meteor showers, cages, launches into the air. Every action is announced with the viewer's name.

Plan: every plan. On Free, 15 actions work; PRO and MAX unlock all 105.

Install the server

You need Minecraft: Java Edition. Everything else — Java, the Paper server and the Bakosh plugin — BakoshApp downloads itself, about 250 MB.

  1. Open Minecraft Survival → Manage Mod and click Install server.
  2. In Install Minecraft server, choose the Server folder — an empty or new folder, C:\MinecraftServer by default. Avoid OneDrive folders and paths with non-Latin letters; system folders like Program Files aren't accepted.
  3. Tick I have read and agree to the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA) and click Install.

The download runs in a window that shows each step and its progress. Until it finishes, the rest of BakoshApp waits; only the console at the bottom stays open, with the details. Cancel stops the install and keeps what was already downloaded: Continue installation picks up from there, and Delete removes it. The first start prepares the world, which takes a few minutes.

Server memory (2–4 GB, picked from your RAM) and support for other client versions (on) can be changed later in the server settings.

Play

  1. Switch Minecraft Survival on in the sidebar. This starts the server; the server card on Manage Mod shows Starting..., then Running.
  2. In Minecraft: Multiplayer → Direct Connection → 127.0.0.1 (with a custom port: 127.0.0.1:port). Only this PC can join.
  3. The first player to join becomes the streamer: "You are the streamer: viewer actions now target you."

Switching the mode off or to another mod stops the server and saves the world. The server doesn't run while BakoshApp is closed — after a restart, switch the mode on again.

The server card shows whether the server is starting or running and why it stopped; Server console opens its console for commands. There are no Start and Stop buttons — the sidebar switch does that. If the server crashes or is stopped with a console command, the mode switches itself off.

External Commands, the Win Counter and Team Score actions and the Avatar actions are available on every plan.

Server settings

The gear on Manage Mod opens Minecraft server settings. Its header shows the installed Minecraft, Paper and Java versions and has Open folder.

  • Server — Server port (25565), Max players (5), Difficulty (Normal), Game mode (Survival), Server description (MOTD), World seed (used only for a new world).
  • Performance — Server memory, View distance (8 chunks), Simulation distance (6 chunks), other client versions.
  • Mode → Survival — Announce viewer actions (Action bar, Big title, Chat or Off), Show the viewer's name above spawned mobs, Max spawned mobs at once (60), Explosions break blocks, Keep inventory on death (all on by default).

Mode settings apply at once. Server and performance settings apply at the next start: while the server runs, its card says a restart is needed and offers Restart.

Updates, repair and removal

  • BakoshApp updates the server and the plugin when it starts. An update that changes the Minecraft version waits for you: the button becomes Upgrade to Minecraft …, and your worlds are backed up first (the three newest backups are kept). Your Minecraft client must support the new version.
  • Check & repair checks every file of the server and fixes damaged ones; worlds and settings stay.
  • Delete removes the server, Java and the plugins; worlds, settings and backups stay in the folder unless you tick Also delete the worlds, which moves the whole folder to the Recycle Bin.

Updating, repairing and deleting need the mode switched off in the sidebar. Updates and repairs run in the same window as the install and can be cancelled until their final stage.

Commands

Operators can use /bakosh in the game or the Server console:

CommandWhat it does
/bakoshConnection, mode, streamer and queue status
/bakosh target <player>Make another player the streamer
/bakosh test <action>Run an action as if a viewer sent it
/bakosh cleanupRemove viewer mobs, cages, webs and similar leftovers

Common questions

I can't connect. Make sure the mode is switched on and the server card says Running, then connect to 127.0.0.1 from the same PC.

"Not enough free disk space" or "This PC does not have enough memory". The server needs at least 2 GB of free disk space, and its memory must leave 2 GB of RAM for everything else.
