Hotkeys
Give an action a keyboard shortcut that runs it from anywhere in Windows — even while the game has focus — exactly like its Test button.
A hotkey runs an action by hand: pressing it anywhere in Windows — even while the game or OBS has focus — does exactly what the row's Test button does. Hotkeys work on every plan and don't replace triggers: a trigger runs the action from a stream event, a hotkey from your keyboard.
Assign a hotkey
- On a mod's Actions tab, click the lightning button in the row's Manage column (third in the top row, Assign a hotkey).
- Pick a combination in the Hotkey dialog and click Save.
The combination now shows under the action's name. To remove it, open the dialog again and choose Not assigned.
Available combinations
You choose from a fixed list, so a hotkey can't take over keys you use for typing or playing:
- Function keys —
Ctrl + Shift + F1…F12 - Number row —
Ctrl + Shift + 1…0,-and+ - Letters —
Ctrl + Shift + A…Z; these often clash with other programs, and the ones taken by Discord, browsers or Windows are marked in the list.
A combination already used by another action of the same mod is shown greyed out with that action's name. When you save, BakoshApp also asks Windows whether the combination is free; if another program holds it, you'll see "This key combination is already used by another application" — pick another one.
How hotkeys behave
- Only the hotkeys of the active mod work — of its active preset — and only for actions that are turned on. The same combination can run different actions in different mods and presets.
- A hotkey runs the action with the same checks as Test: a PRO-only action needs PRO, and a game action needs the game connected.
- Duplicate on the Actions tab doesn't copy the hotkey. A copy of a whole preset keeps its hotkeys; a preset sent to another account arrives without them.
