Minecraft server commands from TikTok LIVE (RCON)

Run Minecraft, Rust, ARK or Palworld server commands when TikTok LIVE and Kick viewers send gifts, follow or chat, with the RCON action of BakoshApp.

The RCON action sends console commands to a game server when a viewer sends a gift, follows or writes in chat: give everyone a diamond, start a storm, spawn a mob, put the viewer's name on screen. It works with any server that has RCON — Minecraft Java, Rust, CS2, ARK, Palworld and many more — and with the Minecraft and Rust servers BakoshApp runs for its own mods.

Plan: every plan. On Free, the action runs from TikFinity triggers; on PRO and MAX also from native TikTok and Kick triggers.

Turn on RCON on your server

BakoshApp's own Minecraft and Rust servers need nothing — go straight to Add the action.

For your own Minecraft Java server, set these lines in server.properties and restart the server:

enable-rcon=true
rcon.port=25575
rcon.password=a-long-password-of-your-own

A Rust server needs +rcon.web 1 +rcon.port 28016 +rcon.password "your password" in its start line. Other games keep the RCON port and password in their own server settings — look them up in the game's server guide.

Keep RCON private

RCON gives full control of the server. Use a long password, and don't open the RCON port to the internet: keep the server on this PC or on your home network.

Add the connection

  1. Open Settings → Connections.
  2. Under RCON servers, click Add.
  3. Enter a Name — actions find the connection by it. Choose the Protocol: Source RCON for Minecraft, CS2, ARK, Palworld and most other games, Rust WebRCON for Rust.
  4. Fill in Server address, Port and Password, then click Save and test. "Connected" means the server accepted the password; the dot next to the connection keeps showing its state — hover it to read it.

Two connections are already in the list, marked Built-in. Minecraft (BakoshApp) writes straight into the console of the Minecraft server that BakoshApp runs for its Minecraft mods — RCON stays off on that server. Rust (BakoshApp) goes to the Rust server BakoshApp installs, through its local WebRCON. Both only need their server to be running.

Passwords stay on this PC, encrypted for your Windows account. They never go to the BakoshApp server or into presets, and a saved password isn't shown again: the field says "Saved. Type to replace".

Add the action

  1. On the Actions tab, click Add new and choose the trigger.
  2. In All Actions, open the External tab and click Configure next to RCON.
  3. Choose the Connection, or New connection… to add one right there.
  4. Write the Commands, one per line, like in the server console. A leading / is dropped, so /give and give both work.
  5. Click Send test to run them once as the test viewer bakosh_app. Server reply shows what the server answered. Then save.

The commands run in order, Counts times with the row's Interval between runs, like any action. No game mod has to be connected — the mod or integration only has to be switched on.

Viewer names in commands

Click a variable under Available variables to put it into a command: {nickname}, {giftName} and the other variables. Before a viewer's name or comment goes into a command, BakoshApp removes ;, quotes, brackets, \ and @ from it and keeps at most 64 characters, so a nickname can't end your command early or add one of its own. Your own text around the variable stays exactly as you wrote it.

Commands to try on a Minecraft server:

CommandWhat happens
say {nickname} sent {giftName}!The chat shows who sent what.
title @a title {"text":"{nickname}"}The viewer's name appears on every player's screen.
give @a minecraft:diamond 1Every player gets a diamond.
weather thunderA storm starts.
effect give @a minecraft:speed 10 1Every player runs faster for 10 seconds.

On a Rust server, say {nickname} sent {giftName}! works the same way.

Common questions

"The server refused the password or the token". The password in BakoshApp doesn't match the server's — in Minecraft, rcon.password. Fix it with Edit and click Save and test. After a refused password BakoshApp doesn't try again on its own until you edit the connection or click Test: servers block an address that keeps sending wrong passwords.

"Can't connect to the server. Check the address and that it's running." The server is off, RCON isn't turned on, or the address or port is wrong. For a server on another computer, check that its firewall lets this PC reach the RCON port. While the server is down, commands don't pile up: one that couldn't be sent within 15 seconds is dropped.

Do I have to turn on RCON for BakoshApp's Minecraft server? No. Minecraft (BakoshApp) writes to the server's console directly; the server only has to be running.

What happens to RCON actions in a preset someone sends me? They arrive switched off: Minecraft (BakoshApp) and Rust (BakoshApp) exist on every PC, so a stranger's commands would run on your server. Check the commands and turn the actions on in Actions. An action finds its connection by name, so on another PC create a connection with the same name or pick yours in Configure.
