Minecraft Box Battle

Red vs blue in Minecraft for TikTok LIVE and Kick: viewers fill their team's box and blast the other one. A box that stays full wins its team the round.

Two boxes stand side by side — red and blue — and your viewers pick a side. Their gifts fill their team's box, shield it or steal blocks from the other one, or blow the other box up with TNT, rockets, a nuke and the dragon. The first box that stays full through the countdown wins the round for its team.

Plan: every plan. On Free, 15 actions work; PRO and MAX unlock all 99.

Minecraft Box Battle runs on the same server as Minecraft Survival — installing, starting, connecting and the server settings are described there. Switch Minecraft Box Battle on in the sidebar; if another Minecraft mode was running, the server keeps going and just changes the mode.

How it plays

  • You're taken to a separate arena world — always day, no weather, no wild mobs. Your survival inventory and position are saved and come back when you leave the mode.
  • Two pits with stained glass walls stand on a stone walkway: red on the left, blue on the right — as the Team Score widget shows them — 5 × 5 blocks and 8 deep by default. You stand between them, facing them.
  • You get endless red and blue blocks and the builder wand: right click and a block flies into the box you're looking at. Help one team, both, or neither — it's your call.
  • A box counts as full when its bottom and top layers are solid. Its countdown starts — "RED holds! 10" on your screen, "holds 10" on the team's bar — and if viewers knock a hole in it, "The RED box is broken!".
  • At zero: "RED WINS!", fireworks in the team's colour, and +1 for that team on the Team Score widget. A moment later both boxes are emptied for the next round.
  • Explosions only break the box they were sent at — never the other one, the walls or the walkway — and nothing at all while a box is shielded. There's no fall damage or hunger, and falling into the void brings you back.
  • Fills and clears go one after another: two fills in a row fill twice as much, and a clear runs to the end before the next fill. Gifts that fill a box while it's being emptied after a win count for the next round.

  • Shield protects a box for 15 seconds by default: attacks on it do nothing — a nuke already falling and a dragon already over it too — and its rim glows.
  • Steals Blocks takes blocks off the top of the other box and drops them into the team's own.
  • The Leader is the fuller box right now, The Losing Box the emptier one; when both are just as full, either at random.

Viewers' mobs leave after 60 seconds; at most 24 mobs and 48 charges (TNT, dynamite, rockets) are around at once.

External Commands, the Win Counter and Team Score actions and the Avatar actions are available on every plan.

Settings

In Minecraft server settings → Mode → Box Battle:

SettingDefault
Announce viewer actionsAction bar
Box size (blocks)5 (3–9)
Box depth (blocks)8 (3–20)
Win countdown (seconds)10 (3–60)
Explosions hurt the streameroff

Mode settings apply at once; a new size rebuilds both boxes and moves you back between them, and a new countdown starts a countdown under way again at its new length.

Commands

Besides the Survival commands, operators have /bakosh battle fill red or /bakosh battle fill blue (fill a team's box) and /bakosh battle clear (empty both).

Common questions

Where do I see the score? Add the Team Score widget on the Overlay page: every round a box wins adds one to its team. The score lives in BakoshApp, so restarting the server doesn't reset it.

Can I play for one team? Yes. The wand fills the box you look at, and you can place blocks by hand in either box.

Why didn't the full box win? Its bottom or top layer has a hole. Gaps in between don't matter, but the top must be closed all over.
