Overlay for OBS and TikTok LIVE Studio
Overlay for OBS and TikTok LIVE Studio: an action board, alerts, stream goals, leaderboards, win and death counters, a health bar — added with one link.
The Overlay tab of every mod and custom integration is an editor for widgets that appear on top of your stream: a board of what viewers can trigger, alerts for gifts and follows, stream goals, counters and leaderboards, a win counter and a team score, your health, deaths and distance to the finish straight from the game, plus your own text, pictures and video. You add one link to OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio, and the overlay always shows the layout of the mod that is active in BakoshApp.
The layout belongs to the mod's active preset: switch the preset, and the overlay switches with it.
Widgets
Add Widget opens the widget catalog. It is split into sections; some widgets come as several ready-made cards (for example Like Goal and Gift Mission are both a Stream Goal).
| Section | Widgets | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Interactive | Action Board, Avatar | every plan |
| Alerts | Gift Alert, Like Alert, Follow Alert, Subscribe Alert, Share Alert, Joined Alert | PRO and MAX |
| Engagement | Stream Goal — cards Like Goal, Follower Goal, Share Goal, Gift Mission | PRO and MAX |
| Counters | Stream Counter — cards Like Counter, Follower Counter, Viewer Count, Coin Counter | PRO and MAX |
| Leaderboards | Leaderboard — cards Top Gifters, Top Likers, Top Chatters, Podium | PRO and MAX |
| Game | Win Counter, Team Score, Death Counter — card Train Wrecks, Health Bar — card Train Health, Finish Distance | every plan |
| Basics | Text, Image, Video | every plan |
- Action Board — a board of tiles built from your mod's actions: "this gift → this happens in the game". It has its own article: Action Board.
- Avatar — your 3D avatar on stream, see Bakosh Avatar.
- Health Bar, Finish Distance and Death Counter show what the game reports, see Health, deaths and distance from the game.
Alerts, goals, counters and leaderboards get their data from the Native Connector and the Kick connector. Events that come through TikFinity don't show alerts and don't count in statistics.
Build a layout
- Open a mod → Overlay.
- Click Add Widget, pick a card, then a look in Choose a style for ….
- Drag the widget on the canvas, resize and rotate it; set its text, colours and behaviour in the panel on the right.
- Use Layers to lock, hide, duplicate or delete widgets. Duplicate to… copies a widget to another mod or integration.
Size, the first field in the panel of most widgets, scales the whole widget — text, icons, bars and spacing together. The frame you drag on the canvas only gives the widget room: make it smaller, and the gaps shrink first. The Text widget has a Font size instead.
Changes save automatically. The magnet button (Snap to guides) makes widgets stick to the canvas centre and edges and to other widgets.
The layout has two display modes — Landscape (1920×1080) and Portrait (1080×1920) — switched with the button above the canvas. Each widget keeps its own position, size and crop in each mode, so one layout works for both orientations.
Keyboard shortcuts
The keyboard button next to the zoom controls (Keyboard shortcuts) shows the full list.
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| Delete | Delete the selected widget (no question asked — Ctrl+Z brings it back) |
| Ctrl+Z | Undo |
| Ctrl+Y · Ctrl+Shift+Z | Redo |
| Ctrl+D | Duplicate the widget |
| Arrows | Move by 1 px, with Shift by 10 px |
| Shift + corner | Keep proportions while resizing |
| Shift + drag | Move only horizontally or vertically |
| Shift + rotate | Rotate in 15° steps |
| Ctrl + drag | Drag without snapping to guides |
| Alt + handle | Crop an image or video |
Without Shift, the corner handles resize freely: text and boards rearrange themselves instead of stretching. Undo doesn't roll back live scores, Duplicate to…, uploads or an action's stream look.
Cropping works on Image and Video widgets: hold Alt and drag a handle, and the edge cuts into the picture instead of resizing it. Reset crop in the panel brings the whole picture back.
Demo
Widgets that react to events or change their numbers have a Demo button in the panel. It plays only this widget — on the canvas and, at the same time, in OBS or TikTok LIVE Studio, so you can see how it looks on stream:
- an alert shows a sample event, with its sound;
- a goal, counter, leaderboard, Win Counter, Team Score, Death Counter, Health Bar, Finish Distance or Action Board plays sample values or flashes, then the real values come back.
Settings that only show at the moment of an event — animations, particles, the board's flash — replay the demo on the canvas by themselves while you change them. Nothing is sent to OBS then, in case you are live.
Add the overlay to your stream
Click Copy URL above the canvas. The link belongs to the current display mode: copy it once in Portrait for a vertical stream, once in Landscape for a horizontal one. The ? button (Setup guide) shows the steps with screenshots.
TikTok LIVE Studio:
- Click Add source and choose Link.
- Paste the link, turn on Custom resolution and set it to 1080×1920 (1920×1080 for landscape).
- In the resize menu choose Fill, and keep the source on top of the others.
OBS Studio: add a Browser Source, paste the URL and set the size to 1920×1080 for Landscape or 1080×1920 for Portrait.
BakoshApp has to run on the same PC as OBS or LIVE Studio — the overlay gets its events from the app. The link doesn't depend on the mod: switch the active mod, and the overlay switches to that mod's layout.
The overlay link contains a key to your account. Don't post it or show it on stream.
Opening the link in Chrome or Edge
OBS and TikTok LIVE Studio show the overlay as is. Chrome and Edge ask first whether bakosh.app may reach apps on your computer: click Allow. If you blocked it, the page shows "Browser is blocking the overlay" — click the icon left of the address bar, allow Apps on device, and the overlay reconnects by itself.
Alerts
Each alert widget has filters: Platform (TikTok, Kick or both), Gifts it reacts to, Minimum diamonds (TikTok) / Minimum Kicks (Kick), Likes to trigger, Combine repeats, Once per viewer and Cooldown (ms). Alerts wait in a queue; each is shown for 4 seconds by default.
Under the text fields each alert lists the variables it can use, for example {nickname}, {username}, {giftName}, {repeatCount} and {diamondCount} for gifts or {likesAmount} for likes. The Effects section adds counting-up numbers, an animated picture, glow, a light sweep and particles.
Goals, counters and leaderboards
These widgets show viewer statistics — what your connected platforms reported. Choose What to count, the Period (This stream, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, All time) and the Platform.
- Stream Goal — progress towards a goal. When reached: Stay at 100% or Raise the goal by a set amount.
- Stream Counter — one number with an icon and a label: likes, new followers, viewers online, coins, a specific gift and more.
- Leaderboard — top viewers as a list or a Podium (top 3). Value position puts the number next to the name or below it, Mirror (right to left) flips the row for the right side of the screen, Title size, % scales the title. Free places show a dash; an empty leaderboard shows Text when empty if you set it.
While there's no data, the editor shows sample rows; OBS shows only real viewers. Test events don't count — use Demo to see the animation.
Win Counter, Team Score and Death Counter
The counters change through actions: in the Overlay tab of All Actions (Add new on the Actions tab), add:
- Win Counter — Wins Up, Wins Down, Wins Set or Wins Set To Goal;
- Team Score — Add points, Remove points or Set score for Team 1 (left) or Team 2 (right), or Reset both scores;
- Death Counter — Add deaths, Remove deaths, Set count or Reset count.
Each action points to one Target widget, and that widget's toggle decides what changes:
- Use game wins/goal (Win Counter), Use game score (Team Score) or Use game count (Death Counter) on — the action changes the mod's shared counter, which every widget with the toggle on shows. On GTA V and RDR2 the shared win counter is the game's own.
- Toggle off — the action changes only that widget's own counter.
If the overlay has no widget of that type yet, the action changes the shared counter. If the target widget was deleted, the action does nothing; pick another one. You can also type the numbers straight into the widget's fields in the editor. In TABS Battle, the wins of each army feed the shared Team Score by themselves.
Health, deaths and distance from the game
Three widgets of the Game section take their numbers from the game itself:
| Widget | What it shows | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Health Bar | Your character's health; in GTA V and RDR2 Train Auto — the train's (card Train Health) | every game mod except TABS Battle |
| Finish Distance | How far the finish is in KOTH, or the finish zone in Chaos | GTA V KOTH, Chaos and KOTH Auto, Minecraft x GTA V Chaos, RDR2 Chaos, KOTH and KOTH Auto |
| Death Counter | How many times your character died; in Train Auto — how many trains were wrecked (card Train Wrecks) | every game mod except TABS Battle; in custom integrations it counts through actions and hotkeys |
Add Widget offers each of them only where the game reports that number.
- Looks. Health Bar is a bar, segments, hearts, a ring, a number or a heart monitor; Finish Distance is text ("Distance: 100 m"), a progress bar, a road, a ring or a navigator; Death Counter is a number, a row of skulls, tally marks, lives, an odometer, a WASTED banner or a tombstone. Bars and the road turn vertical with Orientation. Choose a style for … offers ready-made looks of each.
- Your own words. Every label is yours: the text around the number, START and FINISH, the banner, tombstone and game over texts. Finish Distance uses
{remaining},{traveled},{total}and{percent}, in meters and kilometers or feet and miles, with your own unit labels if you like; Death Counter uses{deaths}and{lives}. - Finish. At each finish the bar stays full for a moment, the widget jumps, and confetti, finish flags or sparkles burst out of the finish flag — pick them in Finish effect, or switch the celebration off with Celebrate the finish. A Finish sound can play too.
- Death count. The game adds a death each time your character dies — in Train Auto, each wrecked train. The count stays until you press Reset count in the widget's panel or run a Death Counter action. With Use game count off, the widget counts only what its own actions add.
- Death. At each death a red flash spreads out from the centre, the widget shakes, and icons, sparkles or hearts burst out of the number — pick them in Death effect. Red flash on death and Shake on death switch the rest off, and a Death sound can play too.
- Without the game. The editor shows sample values until the game is connected. In OBS, a widget with no data hides itself; to keep an empty gauge on screen, set Without game data (Without a route in Finish Distance) to Show an empty gauge.
In KOTH and KOTH Auto God Mode is on by default, so the Health Bar stays full; switch it off in F11 if you want health to matter. The numbers come from the mod in the game: if these widgets stay empty while you play, update the mod on Manage Mod.
Images and video
Pictures for Image widgets come from My Images (your uploads), TikTok Gifts or Kick Gifts.
- Uploads: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF or APNG, up to 30 MB per file before BakoshApp compresses it. Animated files are uploaded as they are and must fit in 10 MB.
- Videos: WebM (VP9) or MP4 (H.264), up to 10 MB, muted by default. In the editor video always plays muted; in OBS the sound works.
- Images and videos each have their own storage: 25 MB on Free, 250 MB on PRO and MAX.
Common questions
The overlay shows "Overlay unavailable". The overlay can't reach BakoshApp: the app isn't running or isn't signed in. Start it and sign in — the overlay reconnects by itself.
The overlay shows "No mode selected". No mod is switched on in BakoshApp. Switch one on, and the overlay shows its layout.
The overlay shows "Browser is blocking the overlay". You opened the link in Chrome or Edge and the browser didn't allow it to reach the app. Click the icon left of the address bar and allow Apps on device.
Alerts don't appear. Alerts need PRO or MAX and events from the Native Connector or Kick. Check the alert's filters, then press Demo.
My leaderboard is empty in OBS. It fills as viewers send gifts, likes or messages through the Native Connector or Kick. Until then, places show a dash.
Health Bar or Finish Distance doesn't show in OBS. They show up when the game sends its numbers: start the game, load in and switch the mod on in BakoshApp. Finish Distance appears only while there is a finish to reach. If they still don't show, update the mod on Manage Mod.
Health Bar, Finish Distance or Death Counter isn't in Add Widget. The game of this mod doesn't report that number — for example TABS Battle, or the distance in Train Auto, Rust and Minecraft. Custom integrations offer only Death Counter.
