System requirements

What you need on your machine to run BakoshApp and stream with one of the supported mods.

BakoshApp is a Windows-only desktop app. It runs alongside your game and pipes TikTok Live events into it, so the bottleneck for stream quality is almost always your game's requirements, not BakoshApp itself.

Operating system

  • Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit).
  • macOS, Linux, and 32-bit Windows are not supported.
  • Windows running in a virtual machine is not recommended — graphics and audio routing through a VM is fragile, and most game anti-cheats reject it.

Hardware

BakoshApp itself is light — a few hundred MB of RAM and minimal CPU when idle. What matters is the game you stream:

GameRecommended GPURAMDisk
GTA VGTX 1060 or newer8 GB~100 GB for the game
RDR2GTX 1070 or newer12 GB~150 GB for the game
Rust (with local server)GTX 1660 or newer16 GB~30 GB game + ~10 GB server

For Rust Survival, the server runs on the same machine as your game, so you effectively need to run two copies of Rust at once. Plan accordingly — and pick the LOW preset if your machine struggles.

Network

  • A stable broadband connection. TikTok Live + the game + BakoshApp's WebSocket to TikTok all happen at the same time.
  • No special ports need to be opened for the standard setup. Rust Survival uses local port 28015 (game) and 28016 (RCON) — only relevant if you want friends to join your server over the internet.
  • Some corporate or hotel networks block WebSocket connections to TikTok. If the Native Connector keeps disconnecting on those networks, that's why.

Software

  • The game itself, installed via Steam, Rockstar Launcher, or any official source.
  • For TikFinity users only: TikFinity + TikTok Live Studio. See TikFinity setup.
  • For PRO users: nothing extra — Native Connector is built into BakoshApp.

Antivirus and Windows Defender

BakoshApp ships a background helper service used to keep mods in sync. Some antivirus products false-flag it on first install.

If your antivirus deletes a BakoshApp file

The app will stop responding silently. Reinstall it from bakosh.app/bakoshapp and add the install folder to your antivirus exclusions so it doesn't happen again.

Recommended exclusion paths for Windows Defender:

C:\Program Files\BakoshApp
C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local\BakoshApp

The first path is where the program itself is installed; the second is where per-user settings, audio cache, and mod cache live.

If you use Rust Survival, also add the server folder (default C:\RustServer) to exclusions so the server .exe is not quarantined during install.

Game folder location matters

Windows blocks programs from writing into C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files (x86). BakoshApp needs to write a small config file into your GTA V folder to register the mod. If your game is in Program Files, you will see Access Denied errors.

Do not install games into Program Files

Move your GTA V and Rust installations to a non-system folder, for example C:\Games\ or D:\Games\. This single change prevents the most common BakoshApp errors.

Ready?

Once you've checked the requirements, download BakoshApp and install it.
