General errors
Catalogue of the most common BakoshApp errors — AI Support Chat, file dialogs, settings folder, WebSocket, and TikFinity integration.
This catalogue covers the most frequent errors a BakoshApp user can run into and what each of them means in practice.
AI Support Chat
"Failed to load message history" / History fetch error
BakoshApp could not load your previous messages from the server. The cause is usually an internet hiccup or a temporarily unavailable server.
Check your internet connection. If the error keeps repeating, wait a few minutes and try again.
AI chat is not responding / Support API Error
Your message did not reach the AI, or the service is temporarily overloaded. Wait a few seconds and send it again. If it keeps failing, contact @bauritoo in Discord.
File and folder dialogs
Folder picker does not open / Failed to open dialog
Windows did not let the app open a system dialog (for example, when choosing the GTA V folder). Restart BakoshApp. If needed, run it as administrator — see Access Denied.
Mod installation and file deletion
"Failed to delete file/folder" / Failed to delete
The file is being used by another process — the game is running, the Rust server is running, the folder is open in Explorer, or Windows blocked the delete.
Close the game (GTA5.exe for GTA, or click Stop on the Rust server inside BakoshApp). Close any Explorer window that has the folder open. Restart BakoshApp as administrator.
Extraction error / Extraction error
The archive (mod, update, or Rust server files) is corrupt, did not download fully, or there is not enough disk space. Free up disk space, check your internet, and retry the install. More detail in Mod install errors.
Install error / Install error
The final step of the install did not go through, usually because Windows blocked writing to the folder or antivirus quarantined files. Run BakoshApp as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus and retry.
Settings folder and app storage
BakoshApp keeps its settings in a hidden system folder. You can open it by pasting %LOCALAPPDATA%\BakoshApp into the Windows Explorer address bar. In older versions the file lived in a different folder — the app migrates settings automatically on first launch after the update.
"Failed to create settings dir"
Make sure Windows Defender (or another antivirus) is not blocking BakoshApp. Run the app as administrator.
"Failed to write migrated settings"
Something went wrong when the app was automatically migrating old settings to the new path. This is usually not critical. As a last resort, you can manually delete the old file.
"Error saving UUID"
The unique user identifier could not be saved. Run BakoshApp as administrator and confirm you have free disk space.
Game and TikTok server connections
BakoshApp maintains several connections at once: with the mod injected into the game; with the TikFinity app; directly with TikTok via Native Connector (PRO); and with Bakosh.app servers for authentication and settings sync. Most errors in this section mean one of those connections temporarily dropped.
"WebSocket server error" / "WebSocket handshake error"
BakoshApp could not open its local channel to the in-game mod. Usually this is because the port is already taken — most often because two copies of the app are running.
Close any extra copies of BakoshApp and restart. If that does not help, reboot your PC.
Command did not reach the game / WS send error
The connection to the in-game mod was dropped — the game was closed or crashed. Start the game again; the mod reconnects automatically.
"Connection error" / "Connection closed by server"
The connection to Bakosh.app servers dropped (internet glitch, server-side restart, etc.). Wait — the app will reconnect on its own. If the error is persistent, check your internet.
"JSON parse error"
Usually a sign that you are on an outdated BakoshApp version that does not understand the new data format from the server. Update BakoshApp to the latest version — restart the app and the update should download automatically.
TikFinity — Integration Error
What it looks like: TikFinity displays a notification or error: Integration Error Missing data attribute.
Why it happens: the program lost its link to the running game. This is almost always a routine reason — you closed the game yourself, or the game crashed unexpectedly.
Just launch the game again. You do not need to restart TikFinity — as soon as the game finishes loading, the integration reconnects automatically and the error clears.
