Link Patreon or Discord

BakoshApp used to be sold through Patreon before Lemon Squeezy became the primary payment processor. If you supported the project back then, you can link your Patreon to your Bakosh.app account and restore your old subscription automatically.

Linking Discord doesn't unlock PRO on its own — but if you're already PRO, it grants you the PRO role on our Discord server and access to a private channel for paying users.

Linking Patreon

Open bakosh.app/account and click Link Patreon.

You'll be redirected to Patreon's OAuth screen. Approve, and you'll come back to BakoshApp.

If your linked Patreon account has an active pledge to BakoshApp:

Your Subscription Status card in Settings flips to Active with Source: Patreon.
All Free limits are lifted across every mod.

Info

Patreon does not share renewal dates with third-party apps, so the Settings card shows Source and status only — there are no "Started" or "Renews on" fields for Patreon. Your subscription is active as long as Patreon reports an active pledge.

If linking does not flip you to PRO

That means Patreon told us your pledge is not currently active. Common reasons:

Your Patreon pledge was cancelled (you can re-pledge on Patreon, then wait for the next reconciliation).
The pledged tier is below the PRO threshold.
You linked a different Patreon account than the one you used to pledge with.

Ping @bauritoo in Discord with your Patreon username if you think there's a mismatch — we can check the records.

If you signed up on bakosh.app with the same email as your Patreon account, we auto-merge the two on first sign-in. You should not need to link manually in that case — your Subscription Status card already shows "Patreon" as the source.

Linking Discord

Open bakosh.app/account and click Link Discord.

OAuth round-trip, then we automatically:

Verify your PRO status.
If you're PRO, assign you the PRO User role on our Discord server (invite).
Open access to the private #pro-users channel.

The role updates within a minute. If it doesn't, leave and rejoin the Discord server, or ask @bauritoo to re-sync.

What if Patreon and Lemon Squeezy are both active?

You're PRO either way. The Source field in your Settings card shows whichever system the platform is reading from. Cancelling one doesn't affect the other — you only drop to Free when both are inactive.

Common questions

I have an old PRO subscription on a different email. Can I move it? Yes — link Patreon from the account where you want PRO. The system credits the active pledge to whichever Bakosh.app account just linked it. (One pledge can't credit two accounts at once.)

Do I need Discord linked to use BakoshApp? No. The desktop app works without any Discord connection. Linking is only for the Discord role and the private channel.

Discord role assignment failed. What do I do? Make sure you've actually joined the server — the OAuth flow assigns a role, but only if you're a member. After joining, click Link Discord again on /account.
